Biography
Rev. Alexander pursued a One-Year Bible Course at Concordia Theological Seminary, Nagercoil, during 1992-1993 and continued with a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) from the same institution from 1993 to 1997. He furthered his theological training with a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D) from Tamilnadu Theological Seminary, Madurai, from 2005 to 2007. His passion for the Old Testament prompted him to complete a Master of Theology (M.Th) specializing in the Old Testament from T.T.S, Madurai, between 2009 and 2011. He also finished a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Annamalai University in 2009.
Rev. Alexander comes to the seminary with a wealth of pastoral experience. He has served in various Lutheran churches, including Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church (Manakkarai Puthugramam) from 1997-2002, Calvary Lutheran Church (Nagercoil) from 2002-2005, St. Paul Lutheran Church (Thathaiyarkulam) from 2005-2007, Bethel Lutheran Church (Puthalam) from 2011-2016, and Gilgal Lutheran Church (Parvathipuram) from 2016 to 2023. He also served as a visiting faculty member at CTSN & TTS Madurai from July 2011 to April 2023.
Rev. Alexander joined the faculty at CTSN as Assistant Professor in June 2023.
Rev. Alexander is married and has two children.
